Not a good day today. Annette had a bout of severe pain in her right back that migrated to the front right. It was bad enough the transplant team told us to go to the emergency room. So off we went to the Emory St. Joseph hospital ER. After 2.5 hours they finally gave her some IV pain meds that helped. They did an x-ray, CT scan and EKG trying to figure out what's going on. She was nauseous and running a low grade fever so the transplant team wanted her admitted.
CT scan found a small pulmonary embolism in her right lung which was causing the pain. They're giving her some blood thinners to break it up. Still being admitted to the transplant floor so the transplant team can keep an eye on her.
