T + 11
Once again a night of interruptions for IV's and vitals made it difficult to sleep. Annette had another platelet transfusion overnight but managed to avoid needing a red blood transfusion. She was hungry this morning but once she tried to eat, the nausea returned. After getting more meds, her appetite returned and she was able to eat a few things for lunch. Her left arm is swelling a bit so they did an Ultrasound to see if they could determine the cause. Her white blood count increased a bit more to .5, yet her platelets seem to be stuck around 3, hence the transfusions. She also received her final dose of methotrexate, a chemo drug that is supposed to help avoid GVHD (Graft Versus Host Disease). Mark came to spend the day and shaved Annette's head. Also, together they walked a lap and a half.
