T + 33 We're Home!

Finally made it home on Friday 7/19! A day later than expected. There was a fire alarm on Wednesday at my daughter and son-in-law's condominium complex. The elevators went off-line which required us to evacuate by going down 8 flights of stairs. When the all-clear was given we had to walk back up because the source was the elevator control room and the elevators remained off-line. This was really difficult for Annette and she spent the rest of the day in bed unable to pack for our return home. Thursday was a follow-up appointment and things went well. They drew extra blood so they could run more tests, specifically they want to see how much blood is donor blood and how much is her 'old' blood. We're hoping for 100% donor but that isn't likely to happen. We're in the stage of recovery where GVHD will typically show up so we're on the look-out for signs.
