T + 17 Chapter 2

Now that we're out of the hospital we begin the next phase of our journey - the journey to 100 days. We'll be meeting with the transplant team frequently during the next couple of weeks so they can keep a close eye on Annette.  During this time we're required to stay within 30 minutes of the hospital yet we live 40-60 minutes away depending on traffic. Our daughter Katie and her husband Jarred are 20 minutes from Emory and graciously offered to host us during that time. We arrived there last night around 8:30 and  celebrated Independence Day with them. This July 4th obviously holds special significance as we also celebrated Annette's independence from both the hospital and hopefully this wretched disease.  Going forward we're hoping for less stressful times. As we enter this next phase blog posts may be less frequent but I'll be sure to update on our appointments and other notable events.
