T + 9 WBC rising!

We had some good news this morning. Annette's white blood count (WBC) is on the rise! It had dropped to 0 following the chemo and transplant and is now up to .3 - which is still critical but a third of the way to 1.0 which is what they consider recovering.  They assume it's the new blood being created that caused the rise, which means Carls blood may be starting to engraft. So we're very excited about that. However her platelets and hemoglobin are still critical so she received a 700cc bag of platelets and a bag of blood.  Following a long day of rest she managed with the help of Mark to get out of the room for a walk and short bike session.
